Catechesis in the act bringing the Church’s teachings to the world and is a distinct and special ministry in the Church. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church makes clear, “Catechesis is intimately bound up with the whole of the Church’s life . . . her inner growth and correspondence with God’s plan depend essentially on catechesis” (no. 7). This ministry of teaching in the name of the Church has a profound dignity, which is why catechists are formally commissioned by the Church.

Here at Holy Trinity we are always happy to welcome faithful catechists and volunteers! Bringing the Word of God and the life of Jesus to our members, young and old, is of vital importance for our parish community, but it is also vital for our bigger mission of building up God’s Kingdom here on earth. Jesus commissioned us all to bring the Good News to others before He ascended to heaven. We cannot provide these opportunities for others to learn about our faith without you! Opportunities are available to teach classes (youth or adult), teach Bible studies, be a teacher’s assistant, lead a teen small group, or host a teen small group in your home.
